To bridge the gap between government initiatives and the public, Alamdar Peace and Welfare Foundation (APWF) organized a comprehensive awareness program on Government Welfare Schemes across various districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
The program aimed to educate and inform local communities, especially those from economically weaker sections, about the various welfare schemes available for their benefit—including those related to healthcare, education, housing, social security, women empowerment, and livelihood support.
Participants included local villagers, students, women, elderly citizens, and persons with disabilities. Experts and government officials were invited to explain eligibility criteria, benefits, and application procedures for schemes like:

Live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and distribution of information booklets in local languages ensured clarity and accessibility for all attendees.
Speaking about the initiative, an APWF official said:
“Many deserving people are unaware of the benefits they are entitled to. This program ensures that rights and resources reach the right hands.”
The event was met with overwhelming appreciation from the public, with many expressing their intent to now apply for schemes they were previously unaware of. The foundation has pledged to continue such efforts in more remote and underserved areas in the coming months.
