Alamdar Peace and Welfare Foundation organizes annual inclusive carrom competitions that bring together players with and without disabilities. Teams are fairly selected from government schools with the support of the District Administration. The best teams from Jammu & Kashmir competed at the HCL Foundation’s “Sports for Change” national finals in Nagpur, sponsored by the HCL Foundation.

In football, children from government schools, including those with disabilities, were chosen through district and regional trials under the same initiative. The Jammu & Kashmir team won the national championship at the finals held in Nagpur, marking a proud moment for the region.

Athletics was another key component where top athletes from seven districts qualified through rigorous trials and received professional training. At the national finals in Nagpur, these athletes achieved third place in the 600m run and second place in the long jump.

Despite challenges such as limited facilities and coaching, volleyball talent from government schools and players with disabilities were selected and trained. The Jammu & Kashmir volleyball team went on to win the national championship in Nagpur for the first time, a historic achievement for the state.
