Both men and women from farming villages practice Sozni, turning to this intricate art during off-seasons. The craft involves multiple detailed steps, including design preparation, wooden block making, color sampling, design approval, washing in spring water, and adding fringes.

Alamdar Peace and Welfare Foundation runs a training unit where persons with and without disabilities, especially young women rehabilitated by the foundation, learn Sozni work.
