Living with a hearing or speech impairment can have a profound impact on a person’s life. It can limit social interactions, reduce quality of life, and hinder educational and career opportunities. Unfortunately, due to limited facilities in our region, individuals often have to travel long distances to access basic audiology and speech therapy services.
At Alamdar Peace and Welfare Foundation, we have established a modern Hearing and Speech Unit equipped to conduct comprehensive audiometric testing. These tests are offered free of charge to our beneficiaries. Additionally, hearing aids are donated at no cost to economically disadvantaged individuals, with special preference given to persons with disabilities. Our commitment doesn’t end there—follow-up services and maintenance of hearing aids are also provided entirely free of cost.
Each patient undergoes a professional assessment at our centre, after which a customised speech therapy plan is devised. Since speech therapy is a gradual and ongoing process, therapy sessions are conducted regularly, tailored to the individual's needs, until significant improvement is observed.
